Having supplied confetti cannons to the British Touring Car Championships’ (BTCC) awards ceremony for the past two years, we were delighted to get a call inviting us to provide the special effects for the season’s finale at Brands Hatch.
Following a site visit to Silverstone to see the winner’s podium, we put forward a proposal using tripod mounted close proximity pyrotechnics and remote controlled confetti cannons. This allowed us to drive onto the track following the last race and have the effects set and ready to go in minutes.
In front of the press and TV cameras, Gordon Shedden took to the podium to receive his trophy as Confetti Magic provided the razzmatazz to the delight of the cheering fans.
