As RMS St Helena, the last proper Royal Mail Ship, prepared to set sail for the final time from London, Confetti Magic sat ready to push the button as the last rope was cast off.
VIPs lined the quayside as passengers and crew lined the decks. With flags waving and an air of sadness, the moment came. A huge blast of red, white and blue confetti from our Stadium Duo Cannons marked the historic occasion with a patriotic salute.
As the ship manoeuvred, we continued to fill the air using our Turbo Confetti Blasters for 10 minutes, giving everyone the chance to capture the moment.
With the ship finally in position and a blast of the ship’s horn, the tugs saluted her with towering water jets as we released clouds of confetti from a CO2 Confetti Blaster mounted on one of the tugs.
Not wanting to be left out, the crew fired hand held confetti cannons back at the shore and with another 160 loaded aboard, each arrival and departure can be celebrated on her final journey back to St Helena.
