As a preview to the London New Year’s Day Parade, a concert takes place each year to promote the parade and swell the already 500,000 strong army of spectators who line the streets to cheer the floats and bands as they pass by.
This year, the concert took place in Covent Garden and featured KNE World, hot from the stage of Britain’s Got Talent. Confetti Magic provided CO2 jets and flame projectors to complement their high-energy mix of music and dance with instantaneous columns of white smoke and jets of fire.
Their performance provided an explosive finale to the concert and received a fantastic reception from a large crowd of onlookers.
For the main parade on New Year’s Day, KNE were back to entertain the VIP’s and spectators in the main performance area prior to the arrival of the parade. With a longer set, Confetti Magic increased the number of jets of CO2 and flames to add even greater impact to their already spectacular show.
With the front of the parade fast approaching, a speedy de-rig was required. All the effects had been rigged to be easily lifted out of the way, so within seconds of the end of their performance, the area was clear for the parade to march through.
From there on it was business as usual with our Hurricane Guns providing colour coordinated confetti shots to match the colours of each band, Stadium Confetti Blasters creating a patriotic cascade of red, white and blue confetti during the national anthem and BigShot Confetti & Streamer Cannons delivering the final shot of streamers to conclude another amazing parade and show the worldwide audience of 300 million what an amazing city London is.
